An expanding vape store will move into a prominent building in Kendal town centre after agreeing a 10-year lease.
The unit is part of a Grade II listed building on the corner of Stramongate and Blackhall Road, thought to have once been a theatre.
Owned by an Ilkley-based property investment company, the unit was marketed by commercial property specialists Carigiet Cowen with an asking rent of £13,000.
Kendal Vapes, a family-run business established in 2014, has agreed to move in. The firm has nine stores across the North of England.
Landlord spokesman Patrick McCutcheon said: “Regrettably after many years trading from the site the previous tenants decided to streamline their business.
“However, the team at Carigiet Cowen successfully secured a new letting to a similar growing and thriving business which intends to invest further in the unit and make the most of this eye-catching corner site.”
