Work has begun on an £179,000 project to upgrade a Lake District road.
Around 5,500sq m of road is being resurfaced at Loweswater.
Work began on Monday and is expected to last for two weeks, weather permitting.
There is a full road closure in place and signed diversions are in place.
Drivers are advised to plan their journeys accordingly.
