Workington Town have taken their former winger Brad Holroyd on a two-week loan deal from Widnes Vikings.
Holroyd first joined Workington for the 2021 season from Leigh Centurions after scoring his debut try against Town in the 1895 Cup of 2020.
He had also spent time in the St Helens Academy playing in their Grand Final and represented his country at international level for the England Lions Under 19’s.
Holroyd went on to be a big hit for Town in their promotion winning season of 2021 when he was the top try scorer.
His performances brought interest from Widnes and he opted to join the Vikings last season but game time has been limited and he spent the back end of the season on loan at Swinton Lions.
Holroyd, 22, scored three times in ten appearances in his debut year at the Vikings before featuring in Swinton’s play-off final victory over Doncaster.
Holroyd will be in the squad to host Midlands Hurricanes at Derwent Park on Sunday.
