A celebration of 30 years of blood donations in Cumbria will be held tomorrow.
A session at Gilcrux Village Hall, near Wigton, marks the special anniversary for the Cumbria Blood Donation Team, and both existing and former donors are invited to join the celebrations.
The team collects lifesaving blood donations from donors at venues across the county.
Senior Sister Sharon Donald said: “Our donors in Cumbria are amazing and we would love for as many local lifesavers as possible to join us for our special 30th anniversary event.
“We’re really looking forward to hearing everyone’s stories from the last 30 years. And if you’d like to donate on our special day, appointments are still available.
“Of course, it wouldn’t be a celebration without some cake and special treats – the perfect post-donation snack!”
