Carlisle United cruised to a 7-0 win at Gretna last night as they continued their pre-season build-up.
It was a comfortable victory for Paul Simpson’s men after they had needed two late goals to beat Annan Athletic on Friday.
They struck first after 18 minutes when Owen Moxon floated a fine pass to Joe Garner who collected quickly, took a touch and fired home.
The trialist forward was denied by the Gretna keeper and Paul Huntington had a header cleared off the line.
The second came ten minutes later when Jordan Gibson showed instant control to seize his opportunity and rifle home a shot from 18 yards.
New boy McGeouch laid on the third with a defence splitting pass and Jack Robinson drilled the ball home from a tight angle.
Once again Simpson put out a different eleven in the second half and it took only three minutes before Alfie McCalmont thumped in the fourth.
On 54 minutes a good cross from Kai Nugent was expertly finished off by Romeo Park.
Nugent helped himself to the sixth and a Gretna own goal completed the scoring.
