The Firpress Printers Cumberland Cup final will match up Distington and Cockermouth Titans after two tight semi-finals.
Indeed Cockermouth had to go to the golden point to decide their tie with Maryport after they had finished all square at 16-16.
Distington avenged last week’s league defeat at Wath Brow A by taking their semi-final clash 24-10.
In the game at Highfield played in horrendous conditions, there was nothing between the two teams and it was Jamie Lightfoot who grabbed the winning try after seven minutes of the Golden Point which had followed normal extra time.
Seamus Hutton, Lewis shield and Ryan Scott scored tries in normal time with Lewis Bell landing two conversions.

For Maryport there were tries from Luke Baker, Scott Atherton and Ellis Nixon with two conversions by Danny Fiddler.
The other semi-final was yet another tough game, played in equally horrendous weather conditions.
Distington got the first points on the board and with tries through Jack Worthington and Lewis Whitehead on six and 12 minutes respectively. They maintained their slender lead until the half time whistle.
At the start of the second half the heavy rain continued, but on 46 minutes the Brow managed to break down the Distington defence enough for Peter Caddy to sneak in over the line to score a try duly converted by Devan Sharp and make it game on.
The battle then continued until the 63rd minute when Distington’s coach Aiden Worthington ran on to a ball and found some free space to crash over the line.

This was followed five minutes later by another Distington try by Tyrone Dalton, converted by Steve Clarke, which put the visitors in the driving seat.
The Brow battled on and managed to pull a try back on 70 minutes through Mark Miller, but Distington had the final say on 78 minutes with a try by Scott Rooke under the sticks giving Clarke an easy conversion.

There were also two games in the Holmen Iggesund Cumberland ARL in which there were wins for Lowca and Glasson Rangers.
Lowca held an 8-0 lead over Egremont A at half-time and went on to win 24-0 with tries from Mitchell Todd (2), Jamie Scott, James McNally and Josh Partridge. There were two goals from Jamie Scott.
Glasson laid the base for their 36-18 win at Hensingham A in the first half when they led 20-4 and it proved to be quite a game for Luke Johnson.
Johnson scored 26 of the Glasson points himself with four tries and five goals.
Losing the second period 16-14 was a notable improvement by Hensingham who had actually scored the first points of the game with a try from Ellis Postlethwaite after only four minutes.
But then Glasson took over – or rather Johnson did – scoring his four tries, and converting two of them to personally steer Glasson into their comfortable half-time lead.
Within three minutes of the re-start Connor Wilson went in for a fifth Glasson try which Johnson improved.
Keelan Powe came back on 49 minutes with a try for Hensingham and Craig McAvoy converted.
The game was in the bag for Glasson, however, when John Dollachin (53) and Johnson (68) both crossed and Johnson converted.
Hensingham did make a positive finish with Stephen Hodgson crossing after 73 minutes and Owen Street going over two minutes later.
