Club captain Rob Wilson has re-signed for Kendal Town ahead of the start of the 2023/24 North West Counties season.
Wilson played more games for the club last season than anyone else, appearing in 51 games in which he scored eight goals.
Wilson said: “”I’m pleased to commit to another season at Kendal Town. I feel we did well last season, taking all things into account, but we’re in a stronger position this time around so I’m hoping this season is another, if not more, successful one.”
Kendal-born Wilson, 33, is in his second spell with his home-town club and also had two different spells with Lancaster City.
He was also a popular member of Workington’s squad for three seasons and has also played for AFC Fylde as well as having a stint in America with Cincinnati Dutch Lions.
Kendal chairman Michael O’Neill said: “We’re delighted that Rob has signed on again for us. He played more games than anyone else last season and is clearly an influential and important member of manager Jimmy Marshall’s squad.”
