A road in the south Lakes which had to be closed due to a burst pipe is expected to reopen today.
The A593 at Skelwith was closed last week and workers found significant damage to a culvert.
Emergency repairs were carried out, but Westmorland and Furness Council said they were due to be completed later on today, Thursday, August 10.
The road has been fully excavated, assessed and the damaged culvert replaced.
A diversion via the B5285 and B5286 – from Coniston to Clappersgate via Hawkshead Hill – will remain in place until the work is complete.
All information regarding the works has been published and information about diversion routes should be picked up by Sat Nav devices that display live diversion data.
