For the second week in a row Carlisle United picked up an away point to add to their tally in League One.
They drew 1-1 at Lincoln City to back up a battling 2-2 draw at leaders Stevenage last week.
It’s been 2014 since they last scored an away win at that level and they were ahead at Lincoln at the break.
They took the lead in the 19th minute when Luke Plange, on loan from Crystal Palace, scored his first goal for the Cumbrians. Owen Moxon’s free-kick was flicked home by Plange to the delight of his team-mates and travelling fans.
There was drama at both ends just before half-time. Carlisle’s Sean Maguire felt he should have had a penalty but strong appeals were turned down.
Then Lasse Sorenson wasted a great opportunity for the Imps when he could only head over the bar at the far post.
However City only had to wait five minutes after the re-start to get on terms. A long range effort from Ethan Hamilton was a stunning effort and worthy of earning points in any game.
Lincoln’s Danish goalkeeper Lukas Jensen, who spent time on loan with Carlisle last season, had to pull-off a great save to keep out an effort from Moxon while Hamilton was just wide when he tried another strike from distance at a 30-yard free-kick.
Lincoln saw most of the ball late on but didn’t seriously threaten again as Carlisle held on for a deserved point.
