Rock A’s momentum in billiards league

In the Carlisle and District Billiards League Rock A are having a bit of a 2016 Leicester City season.

They continued in this fashion with a 7-0 away win over Denton Holme when there were wins for John Metcalfe (100-74), David Currie (100-41), Neil Walby (100-42), Peter Milburn (100-70) and John Steventon (100-69)

It kept up Rock A’s momentum in their title challenge ahead of their match vs top of the table Inter Qzone next week.

Other Scores: Southend A 2, Inter Qzone 5; Qzone 4, Annan 2; Rock 6, Buffs A 0.

In the Second Division Eastriggs got back to winning ways with a 4-2 home win over Ex B.

David Smith and Archie Walker won the battles of the number one’s and two’s respectively to put Eastriggs 2-0 up, before Barry Crudace and Sam Cowen restored parity for the away side. With no opponent, Eastriggs were given the final frame to emerge victorious.

Other Scores: Ex C 5, Maggies 1; Qzone Originals 4, Southend 2; Buffs B 2, Southend C 5.
