
Two West Cumbrian cricketers are to spend the winter playing in Australia.
Leo Sanczuk, 23, and Sam Sharp, 25, will be based an hour away from Melbourne with the Victoria First Grade side Trafalgar.
The host club have organised accommodation for the two lads and they are also hoping to find temporary employment for the duration of their visit.
Wicket-keeper batsman Sanczuk has been at the Whitehaven club since he was eight and a keen sportsman he studied Sports Coaching and Development at Lancaster University.
He is also a Level Two coach and has been very influential in the development of the crop of talented youngsters that Whitehaven are bringing through.

He will also be a bis miss at Whitehaven Amateurs FC, another club he joined at a very early age.
Bowling all-rounder Sharp cemented his place in the Cumbria team across all formats in the last three seasons.
From Threlkeld he joined Cockermouth for a second spell with them back in 2019 and is a player who is consistently working on his game.
He finished as Cockermouth’s leading wicket taker this year and ninth overall in League standings with 29 wickets, His 7-36 at Furness was a brilliant spell of bowling and at Sandair he is respected as having good potential with the bat which can bring him consistent runs.
