In Division One of the Carlisle and District Billiards League Qzone continued their charge up the table with a 5-2 win at the Rock.
Rock’s number one Mally Lancaster recorded a big win, 120-66 to put the home side ahead, with a superb break of 59 helping ‘Bomber’ to victory.
Qzone hit back with wins for Giles Finneghan (120-36), Paul Wright (100-23) and Paul ‘Corby’ Corbishley (100-88).
Ste Little pulled a frame back for the home side with a 100-46 victory in the number 5 slot. But Qzone are on fire after a poor start, and a title charge in the second half of the season wouldn’t be a huge shock to anyone in the league.
