A South Cumbrian lawyer is picking up his guitar to help support a charity.

John Osborne, a partner at Harrison Drury, which has a base in Kendal, has formed a band with local musicians for the Bendrigg Trust, which the law firm is supporting.

Busking for Bendrigg takes place on October 13 at The Venue, Castle Mills and will feature songs from Oasis, The Beatles, Elton John, Sam Fender and many more. There will also be a raffle.

Financial services firm Rathbones is co-sponsoring the event.

Bendrigg Trust provides highly-specialised facilities to enable both disabled and able-bodied people to take part in outdoor activities, including climbing and use of zip-wires. Residential facilities are also provided on site.

John said: “We have been supporting Bendrigg all year with fund-raising activities and also some volunteering.

“They are an amazing charity, providing life-changing opportunities for people who may not normally be able to take part in activities outdoors. The music event will be a great way for people to enjoy themselves, have a dance and raise money for this fantastic cause.”

Tickets are £10 in advance via Try Booking with a limited number available on the door.
