A driver has been taken to hospital with serious injuries after a car and HGV crashed on the M6.
Police were contacted at 10.55pm last night with a report of the two vehicle collision, which took place just south of Southwaite Services.
The M6 Southbound closed between junctions 42 and 41 at around midnight last night as emergency services responded.
The road reopened at around 8.20am this morning.
