Four men arrested following early morning burglary in Ambleside

Four men have been arrested following a burglary in Ambleside.

The burglary took place this morning at a property on Rothay Road.

Officers were called at 2.37am to the incident where entry was forced to the property. The four suspects were disturbed by the occupant and left the area in a vehicle.

The vehicle was located shortly after and the following men were arrested on suspicion of burglary:

  • A 21-year-old man from no fixed address
  • A 20-year-old man from Wigan
  • A 33-year-old man from St Helens
  • A 20-year-old man from Wigan

All four remain in police custody.

Any reports will be investigated under Operation Themis – Cumbria Constabulary’s response to and focus on burglaries.
