Wardgroup extend support for Barrow Raiders

Wardgroup are extending their support for Barrow Raiders by becoming main sponsors of the club’s Ladies team in the Women’s Super League.

Wardgroup’s involvement with the Raiders has been well established over recent years with the club’s social media channels and their Junior Education Training Scheme (JETS) programme.

That has now been extended by agreeing to be the main team sponsor of Barrow Ladies ahead of their debut season in the top flight after gaining promotion.

Amanda Wilkinson’s Raiders Ladies will start later this month in the group stages of the Betfred Women’s Challenge Cup.

This new agreement will see the Wardgroup logo emblazoned across the front of the Raiders Ladies’ playing kit throughout the 2024 campaign.

Wardgroup managing director Ian Noble said: “The work that the chairman, directors, employees and volunteers of the club have put in to get the stadium and playing staff to where they are now is a great credit to them, and the addition of the ladies team has opened the club up to a whole new audience.

“We are proud to be associated with this journey, and to play a small part in the progress made by the club and contribute in some small way to the success of the ladies team and the community of our great town.”

Barrow Raiders chairman Steve Neale said: “Wardgroup have been outstanding sponsors of the club for many seasons, and to see them extend their support to include our ladies team as they embark on an exciting new chapter is testament to the value they see in working with an organisation like ours.

“It will be a historic season for Barrow Ladies in 2024, and with the female pathway across the area developing year-on-year, there has never been a better time to be a follower or backer of female rugby league in the UK.”ReplyReply allForward
