A Carlisle building fire uncovered a cannabis farm.
Three fire crews from Carlisle East, Carlisle West and Longtown were called to the property on London Road at around 7am today, Monday, April 22.
A passer-by had seen smoke coming from the unoccupied building and called emergency services.
Cumbria Fire and Rescue Service called the police.
Officers carried out searches of the property following the fire and seized a significant number of cannabis plants, with an estimated street value of £135,000.
Cumbria police said investigations were continuing.
