Plans have been lodged to convert a takeaway into a bar in Barrow.
John Rigg has submitted a planning application to Westmorland and Furness Council to transform the ground floor of 52 Cavendish Street from a restaurant into a drinking establishment/live music venue.
It is currently trading as Barrow Indian Cuisine.
According to planning documents, it is proposed the bar would be open until 5am and there will be a maximum number of 40 people in the venue at any given time.
An application form submitted with the planning application says there will be three full-time members of staff and two part-time employees, bringing a total of four full-time equivalent members of staff.
Westmorland and Furness Council has not yet made a decision on the proposals and they are undergoing public consultation.
