Cumbria are out of the NCCA Trophy after they were well beaten against Lincolnshire in the final group game.
After electing to field they bowled-out the hosts for 262 inn the final over but then fell well short as they were dismissed for 144 in 35.4 overs.
Already without the likes of skipper Michael Slack, Finley Richardson and Ben Walkden, Cumbria had suffered another blow in the pre-match warm-up.
Recent addition to the squad, ormer Yorkshire batsman Will Fraine rolled his ankle on the boundary rope in a pre-match drill.
Already fielding three young debutants in Josh Brown, Sam Bates and Reece Brown they had to bring in another, Dylan Simpson of Penrith.
Lincolnshire started well, scoring quickly and after 15 overs were 79-2. Nico Watt had taken two catches, one from a skier which required a run from point to dismiss Nic Keast (11).
The second was at point with the ball really motoring towards him just above head height from Qundeel Haider (21) and it gave young Brown his first senior wicket.
Watt was involved again for the third wicket when he had Ben Wright caught at mid-off by skipper Matty Sempill.
Wright hadn’t hung about scoring 47 off 46 deliveries and taking the home side to 91-3 in 17.2 overs.
The innings was given momentum by Tom Keast (74 off 78 balls) and he lost four more partners before he was eighth out with the Lincolnshire score on 210 from 42.5 overs.
It was another catch, too, for Watt at backward point and again off Brown.
The last two wickets added 52 more runs for Lincolnshire and again it was Watt who took the catch at point to end the innings, this time off Freddie Fallows.
Fallows (3-32) and Brown (3-61) were the leading wicket takers for Cumbria with Watt adding to his four catches with 2-58.
A typically aggressive approach from Fallows (24 off 13) helped Cumbria get away positively to 27 in 3.3 overs before he was caught at extra cover.
Sam Dutton was caught behind; debutant Bates went the same way when a ball reared on him; skipper Sempill was trapped leg before and Greg Cameron was the second victim for wicket-keeper Drew Sylvester as Cumbria slumped to 45-5.
Watt (21) was also caught behind; Brown was stumped by Sylvester and Cumbria were well out of it at 91-7.
All this time 18-year-old Irving, who had come in at three, was putting up a defiant show of resistance on debut.
That eventually ended after 66 deliveries and 103 minutes for 19 but was a promising first effort in difficult circumstances for the Netherfield batsman.
His departure left Cumbria on 101-8 and before the end came on 144 Ed Moulton had made 25, which included five fours and he was left not out.
Cumbria finished bottom of the group after four years of going through and progressing to the final when they have lost each one to Berkshire.
