Group stages of Bristol Street Motors Trophy announced

The group stages of the Bristol Street Motors Trophy have been announced with opponents revealed for both Carlisle United and Barrow.

Both are in League Two now following Carlisle’s swift return after a season in the higher flight.

The full draw will be completed on Thursday afternoon when a fourth team – an U21 Premier League side – will be added to the groups in the northern section and home and away fixtures will be determined.

Carlisle are in Group C and will be up against League One side Wigan Athletic as well as League Two’s Morecambe.

In Group D Barrow will face League Two side, Fleetwood Town and League One side, Bolton Wanderers.

The top two teams from each group will advance to the knock-out stages.
