A man and woman accused of cannabis production and supply intent crimes will stand trial in front of a jury later this year.
Lucie Park, 46, and Mohammed Ali, 42, jointly face two charges.
One alleges that they produced a quantity of cannabis on February 5 last year. A second charge alleges that they possessed the class B drug with intent to supply it to another on the same date.
Park, of Rosebery Road, Carlisle, faces a third charge. This alleges that she permitted premises to be used for the production of cannabis, also on February 5 2023.
When Park and Ali, of Etterby Street, Carlisle, appeared at the city’s crown court this morning, they each pleaded not guilty to all the charges they face.
They are now due to stand trial at crown court. The hearing is due to start on September 23 and, it is estimated, will last two to three days.
In the meantime, Park and Ali have been granted unconditional bail.
- A third person in the case admits producing cannabis and possessing the drug with intent to supply it to another. He is due to be sentenced for his offending by a judge at the crown court on a date to be fixed.
