Val Armstrong has been confirmed by CRFM to now present a weekly Sunday morning show.
CRFM said: “Delighted to have our Val Armstrong on her new permanent slot – Sundays 10am to 1pm. #youaskedwelistened.”
The ex-BBC Radio Cumbria presenter joins other former BBC colleagues including Joe Costin and Paul Braithwaite, who host a country show and golden Sunday show.
Carlisle’s community radio station officially launched in April.
It broadcasts from the Carlisle Enterprise Centre under the frequency 102.7 FM.
The not-for-profit station is evoking the spirit of Carlisle’s first independent station, CFM, and legendary Cumbrian broadcaster John Myers – it has named its studios after him.
