Semi finalists revealed for veterans’ County Cup

The County Cup for Veterans has reached the semi-final stage after the quarter finals were all played this week.

The semi-finals have been set for July 8 and will be: Penrith v Harraby Catholic and Silloth v Cleator Moor Celtic.

The best game was at Seaton where the home side drew 1-1 with holders Harraby Catholic and then the Carlisle visitors won 5-4 on penalties.

Cleator Moor Celtic were comfortable 9-0 winners against Moor Row with goals from Gareth Evans (5), Glen Meagen (2) and Glyn Edwards (2).

Silloth got through to the semi-finals with a 3-1 win at Thistle Reivers while Penrith were comfortable 5-1 winners at Cockermouth.
