Five members of the England team that won the recent European Under-19s Championship were selected for the tournament Dream Team.
Three of those were Cumbrians and they each received a special trophy in recognition of their selection for the team of the competition.
Kells winger Sam Murtagh; Wath Brow half-back Devan Sharp and Hensingham prop Miller Dalton were the Cumbrian trio, and were joined by England team-mates, half-back George Jamieson and loose forward Joe Lewis.
Runners-up France had four players in the Dream Team with the side made up with two each from Scotland and the USA.
The selections were made by European RL coaching manager Martin Crick who had reviewed performances over all the matches involving each of the six countries who took part.

The ERL general manager David Butler said: “The quality on display was excellent and history was made at several junctures, not least the USA playing their first youth international games and winning two of them, while England recorded the first back-to-back Under-19s Championship wins.”

The England Community Lions didn’t fare so well in France where they lost the first of two internationals with France 40-0.
Cumbria had five representatives in the squad – Matthew Creasey and Thomas Clarke, both of Wath Brow; Jayden Conway and Danny Stables, both Hensingham and Seth Woodend (Barrow Island).
