Over 100 youngsters shined on stage at an event in Workington to showcase their skills learnt with a Cumbrian theatre school.
The youngsters, aged four to 18, performed in two shows at the Carnegie Theatre of Razz the Night Away.
They are members of Razzamataz West Cumbria.
The performances were a celebration of musical theatre, street dance, acting, song and contemporary dance.
The young performers dazzled the audience with musical numbers inspired by beloved classics such as Gnomeo & Juliet, The Lion King, The Sound of Music, Wonderland, Footloose, Sister Act, Aladdin, and Mary Poppins.
The show also featured numbers inspired by recent hits and iconic musicians, including Elton John, Elvis Presley, and Beyoncé. Audiences were especially delighted with songs featured and inspired by the latest Barbie movie.
Principal Matty Rayson said: “Witnessing the children on stage is truly magical, especially seeing even the shyest among them radiate with pride. The heart of this experience lies in making sure every child feels valued and has a chance to shine.
“These positive moments lay the foundation for their future confidence and resilience.”
The latest production completes the jam packed academic year which has seen students participating in many workshops with industry professionals, scholarship opportunities and local performances.
To end on a real high, the Razzamataz West Cumbria team is preparing for the Summer School From August 5 to August 9 at Whitehaven Academy. This year’s theme is inspired by new film Inside Out 2.
The summer school is open to all young people, even those that have not participated in performing arts before.
