Jordan Burns (Ben Challis)

In-form Jordan Burns is able to play for Workington Town tomorrow after his sending off last Sunday.

Burns’ red card at the end of the first-half was a key moment as Town lost a substantial lead over North Wales Crusaders to go down 28-24.

However, the good news is that Burns’ sending-off was regarded as sufficient by the Rugby League authorities.

Town also welcome back winger Ethan Bickerdike after a lengthy injury lay-off while centre Joe Hartley is back in the squad following his extended loan spell from Rochdale.

However one of Town’s most effective forwards this season, Jake Bradley is unavailable while Pone Tongia is missing on compassionate grounds and will be heading home due to these circumstances before the end of the regular season.

A Town message said: “We wish Pone well whilst he deals with the situation and for his efforts in the blue and white.”

As for the Hurricanes Jake Mamo could make his debut on Sunday, as the experienced winger or centre brings plenty of Super League know-how to the Midlands side.

The 30-year-old Australian previously played for the Newcastle Giants in the NRL and in Super League clocked up over 100 appearances in his time with Huddersfield, Warrington and Castleford.

Wigan loanee Harry Higham is also in line for a first appearance while Lewis Peachey and Ryan Johnson remain on dual registration from Sheffield.

Jose Kenga (Doncaster) and Sully Medforth (Hull FC) remain on loan.

Town squad: Billy Southward, Brad Brennan, Carl Forber, Chris Taylor, Ciaran Walker, Connor Saunders, Ellis Archer, Ethan Bickerdike, Grant Reid, Henry Hadfield, Jack Stephenson, JJ Key, Joe Hartley, Jordan Burns, Jordan Thomson, Kian McPherson, Luke Charlton, Matty Henson, Tommy Brierley, Tyler Walton, Zarrin Galea.

Hurricanes squad: Todd Horner, Jason Bass, Jake Sweeting, Jon-Luke Kirby, Daniel Barcoe, Sam Bowring, Tom Wilkinson, Brad Clavering, Aaron Willia, Kieran Moran, Chris Cullimore, Ryan Johnson, Callum McLelland, Marcus Green, Lewis Peachey, David Dixon, Matty Chrimes, Jake Mamo, Jose Kenga, Sully Medforth, Harry Higham.
