People are being warned there is severe flooding in Wasdale.
The Wasdale Head Inn has posted a message on social media yesterday, Thursday August 15, to say Mosedale Beck, which runs behind the hotel, is causing severe flooding in the area.
It added: “The cobble bridge leading up to the hotel is currently inaccessible from that point with the bridge standing with 3ft of water over the road.
“This will also mean bike night this evening will be cancelled as we do not recommend bikers attempt to wade through the water with already three larger vehicles being stuck.”
Currently, there are one flood warning and one flood alert for Cumbria.
