Wath Brow A and Maryport will face each other in the Firpress Printers Cumberland Cup final – the showpiece of the Cumberland League season.
The Hornets got through with a 34-12 home win over Lowca while Maryport won 24-6 at Kells A.
Last season the two sides met in the final of the EB Lamb and Son Amateur Cup when Maryport were the winners. But the Brow gained their revenge this year by knocking-out the holders and going on to win the trophy.
In their semi-final the Hornets led 18-0 at half-time but it was closer in the second-half as Lowca refused to lie down.
Peter Caddy (2), Tim Chambers, Greg Rooney, man of the match Brad White and Jack Casey shared the six Wath Brow tries and Rooney added five goals.
For Lowca there were tries for Mitchell Todd and man of the match Emerson Allen, both converted by Keith Campbell.
Paul Farrell, the Wath Brow coach said: “It was a good performance when the first hanf was an arm wrestle for 20 minutes until we started taking chances on the edges.
“We were able to get a lead and it was another arm wrestle at the start of the second half when we made a couple of mistakes which let them in scores. But we finished well against a young, enthusiastic Lowca side who kept coming at us to the end.
“I would also like to give a special mention to the referee Ellis Postlethwaite who was in charge of only his second senior game and he did really well, letting the game flow throughout.”
In the other semi-final Maryport got through with tries from Liam Anderson, Craig Foster, Steven Stoddart and Chris Ivison. Stoddart added four goals.

The sole Kells try was scored by Callum Kincade and Kieran Halcrow converted.
Winning coach Mark Foster said: “It was a great win and we toughed it out in hot conditions and not having played very much lately.
“It’s great to get through to a final but we are thinking no further ahead than the next game against Lowca in the League when we want to make the top four.”
Peter Smith, the Kells head coach. added: “We had a couple of lads missing due to a wedding but that’s not an excuse. Maryport looked after the ball better than we did in the first-half and that took its toll later in the game.”
There was one game in the Holmen Iggesund Cumberland League First Division in which Flimby beat Askam 62-12.
They had led 34-12 at the break and coach Ricky Morrison said: “It was a great result for us after the team had put in a lot of hard work over the past couple of weeks which showed in the game.

“Our full squad performance was brilliant and Rhys Booty, with five tries gave a superb display.
“Askam didn’t give up though and fought hard for the full 80 minutes despite only travelling with 14 men. They contributed to an excellent game of rugby.”
Askam’s player coach Chris Broadley added: “It’s never easy travelling with just 14 men and playing in hot conditions, especially when the opposition play very well.
“But there were some good performances in the team and we are looking forward to a good week’s training and then welcoming Distington A on Saturday.”
The Flimby tries were scored by man of the match Rhys Booty (5), Nathan Kirkbride (2), Karl Hine, Dan Weir, Ben Harrison and Blake Miller. Weir kicked nine goals.
For Askam there were tries for man of the match Dylan Barrow and Lewis Stables, while Stables kicked two goals.
