A man wanted in connection with a fraud offence in Workington has been arrested in Kendal.
The 26-year-old man was arrested this morning in the South Cumbrian town and is currently being interviewed by officers.
Police asked people to keep an eye out for elderly neighbours and relatives who are often targeted by rogue traders who cold call and advise that they need repairs to their homes.
The force said: “Other traders may offer gardening or power washing services and can be very forceful in their manner or charge excessive amounts for the work undertaken.
“There are various reputable local companies who can assist with home repairs or gardening and can conduct fully insured works complying with consumer legislation.”
