
A man was airlifted to hospital after he was involved in a collision with a pick-up.
The incident happened on land north east of Monkhill, near Carlisle, yesterday, Wednesday September 26, and police were called at around 10.50am.
The man suffered a leg injury and was taken to hospital by air ambulance where he remains.
Earlier today, police said the driver of the vehicle, a Mitsubishi pick-up, had left the scene, but they knew her identity and were searching for her. The vehicle involved in the incident had been recovered.
This afternoon, they arrested a woman in connection with the incident and she remains in custody.
