Drivers are asked to avoid the northbound carriageway of the M6 near Kendal as firefighters tackle a vehicle blaze.
Cumbria police said emergency services were currently at the scene today, Monday, September 30, at around 4.40pm.
Drivers may experience delays as the incident is dealt with.
