South Lakes Police has warned drivers this morning to be aware of possible debris on the road.
They said: “If you’re heading out on to the roads – plan for debris. We’ve had multiple trees down through the night and teams having been working to react to them promptly, removing them and ensuring the roads remain clear.
“Reduce your speed and expect that around any corner there could well be a stray branch or more!
“Any obstructions let us know or contact the highways team directly.”
