At Saturday’s FA Cup tie with Wigan Athletic at Brunton Park, Carlisle United are to reflect on those the club and fans have lost since the last In Memoriam fixture in February.

It’s a chance to remember players, supporters, former members of staff, or people connected with the club.

The club said today: “We will be holding a minute of applause ahead of kick-off as the names (and accompanying pictures, if requested) of all those we wish to remember are shown on the club’s big screen.

“The club invites supporters to submit the names of any fan or other person connected to the club, who they would like to be remembered in this moment of reflection.

“If supporters wish to add a message of love and respect, this will appear on the official website only so that all names and images submitted can be included during the matchday minute of applause.

“Please email the details of the person to be remembered and an image if required to media@carlisleunited.co.uk – closing date for messages to be included will be 10pm on Wednesday, October 30.”

A reply will be sent to all emails once the deadline has passed to confirm that the name and image has been received.
