Workington Reds have re-signed their former wing-back Matty Clarke who joined last night’s training session at Penrith.
Clarke left 18 months ago to join Lancaster under Matty Clarke but towards the end of the season – after Fell had left – he moved to Clitheroe.
Fell is delighted to have tied up his signature once again, rating the south Cumbrian for his utility qualities.
Signed by Danny Grainger, Clarke spent four seasons at Borough Park between 2019 and 2023 clocking up 130 appearances with 95 of them starts.
Arguably his best campaign was in 2021-22 when his 42 appearances were more than any other player and he produced Reds’ goal of the season, a 25-yard rocket against Warrington Rylands to earn his side a point.
The 25-year-old has previously played for Kendal, Penrith and Bradford Park Avenue.
