Roadworks are set to begin on Kingstown Road in Carlisle later this month.

The resurfacing work between Moorville Drive and Lowry Hill Road is scheduled to start on Monday, November 18.

Temporary two-way traffic lights will be installed on Kingstown Road, along with a road closure on Lowry Hill Road.

The work will be carried out for five days, weather permitting. Work will take place Monday to Friday, from 8am to 5pm, with no weekend work planned.

Access in the area may be disrupted at times, and some delays are expected.

However, all traffic management will be removed outside of working hours to help minimise disruption.

Vehicle access for residents and businesses will be maintained whenever possible, Cumberland Council has requested that people discuss specific access needs with on-site staff.

Access for emergency service vehicles, pedestrians, and dismounted cyclists will be fully maintained.

Recycling and waste collections will not be disrupted, and information about bus stop relocations will be posted at current bus stop locations.

For any queries regarding bus routes, passengers are encouraged to contact Stagecoach directly.

Cumberland Council reminds the public that businesses remain open as usual.
