Workington and District Camera Club have had a great first half of the 2024/25 season, an excellent mixed programme from members nights, competitions – both club and inter-club and – interesting speakers both in the live room and on Zoom.
Our first meeting of 2025 was a club competition Long Exposure followed by a very entertaining and interesting talk via Zoom on smartphone photography.
Most members who have entered pictures in the competitions have had good results and comments from the judges.
The western area battle held on December 7, one of our entries by Valerie Ireland – District Court Buildings – was judged best picture over all and we came third out of the six clubs. 1st Dumfries, 2nd Keswick, 3rd WDCC, 4th Carlisle, 5th Penrith, 6th Dalston.
We had fantastic results for pictures entered in the Northern Counties Federation competition.
