
Cumberland Council’s public spaces team have been honoured by Keep Britain Tidy.
The environmental charity announced its Network Awards winners at a recent ceremony.
The Keep Britain Tidy Network Conference and Awards attract more than 100 decision-makers that help look after England’s streets and green spaces, including local authorities, housing associations and other major landowners.
The Cumberland Council public spaces team (street cleaning and enforcement) received the Environmental Action Award.
Cumberland Councillor Denise Rollo, executive member for sustainable, resilient and connected places, said: “This is excellent news. Their dedication and hard work in preserving the beauty of Cumberland are truly commendable.
“This achievement is a testament to the team’s dedication and work ethic, and we couldn’t be prouder.”
