Man ‘acting suspiciously’ in early hours in Carlisle

Police are appealing for witnesses after a report of a man acting suspiciously in Carlisle in the early hours of February 23.

As part of ongoing enquiries, police are appealing for witnesses who may have been travelling on public transport or out in wooded areas in the Rockcliffe/Kingstown/Kingmoor area, Harraby, and Carlisle Cemetery, as well as the city centre late on February 22 into the early hours of February 23.

Police would like to speak with anyone who witnessed a man described as described as around 5ft 5in, in his early 40s, of big build, with facial hair and wearing a cap, during the above times, in the above locations.

Officers are particularly keen to speak with any females who may have been approached or spoken to a man matching the description provided.

The incident relates to suspected breach/es of a Sexual Harm Prevention Order.
