A South Cumbrian road was closed in both directions following a collision.
The A590 between Newby Bridge and Greenodd was shut due to the incident, which was reported at 4.40pm yesterday, Thursday May 22.
Our colleagues at Cumbria Road Watch reported that the collision happened at the Haverthwaite crossroads and emergency services were at the scene.
A diversion was in place – all traffic was sent via Bouth, although this is not suitable for HGVs.
Stagecoach said the service between Grange and Ulverston was not running.
The road was closed for some time but is reopen this morning, Friday, May 23.
