Two men will appear in court later this month in connection with a sexual assault and other offences in Carlisle.
The incident occurred at an address in the area of Dalton Avenue on Friday May 16 at 8am.
Roger Murphy, 53, of no fixed address, and Shane Millea, 50, of Winscale Way, Carlisle, have both been charged with sexual assault, assault causing actual bodily harm, robbery, and intentional strangulation.
They have been remanded in custody to appear at Carlisle Crown Court on June 16.
Police are appealing for witnesses, or anyone with information, to come forward.
