Many residents in Allerdale who are struggling to pay the bills due to the coronavirus outbreak, will benefit this week from a reduction in their council tax.
Allerdale Borough Council’s customer contact centres in Workington, Cockermouth, Keswick, Maryport and Wigton will close today until further notice to help tackle the spread of coronavirus.
A man has been charged as part of the ongoing investigation into the murder of 56-year-old Annan man, Paul Taylor.
