home-strip2[G]range-Over-Sands will host the largest arts and craft fair in Cumbria, as the first Prom Art 2017 opens on Sunday 30th April on the Victorian Seafront Prom overlooking Morecambe Bay at Grange over Sands.

After 12 years of successful fairs, Prom Art has joined forces with Europe’s largest market operator, Groupe Geraud to provide a feast for the eyes for 2017, which is set to be enjoyed by both residents and visitors to Grange-Over-Sands.

Visitors can enjoy a walk along the sunny Victorian sea front whilst admiring art work, complemented by the picturesque views of Morecambe Bay. Buskers are set to serenade shoppers, admirers and traders, adding to the artistic and cultural experience of Prom Art.

Prom Art 2017 will boast up to 84 exhibitors, with art ranging from paintings, handmade jewellery, photography and glasswork, as well as many other crafts. Visitors will have endless pieces to admire and purchase.

All exhibitors must produce their own work, so each stall brings with it a piece of the artist’s personality and originality. Up-and-coming art graduates and experience craft makers alike are set to feature at the event, adding to the eclectic mix of styles from the local artists.

The market is set to run on the last Sunday of each month from April through to September, from 10am- 4pm. This gives shoppers, browsers and art appreciators six chances this year to enjoy the crafts on display. Whether choosing a gift for someone or picking a new unusual art piece for thier home, browsers will be spoilt for choice.

With Groupe Geraud’s experience in the production of outdoor markets, this year’s Prom Art is set to be bigger than ever. The team are responsible for assist with the day-to-day logistics, booking and promotion as well as planning for the future expansion of the event.

Philip Lamb Managing Director of Geraud UK said: “We’re delighted to be involved in this year’s Prom Art. The exhibition has been in production for 12 years and Groupe Geraud looks forward to bringing our expertise to what is already a fun and cultural day.”
