[L]amplugh CE School held a fun afternoon for all its pupils on Friday 28 April 2017 to celebrate the completion of their new nursery playground.
Lamplugh School opened its doors to two year olds in a dedicated nursery last year and one of the requirements in doing this was an enclosed area for the little ones to play.
The children had a great afternoon playing games outdoors, face painting, nail painting and a bouncy castle. There was a raffle and a cake sale too for the adults to enjoy. It was also a great opportunity to welcome some of our new children due to start reception in September.
The bulk of the work in the playground was paid for by the school. However special thanks go to parents at the school Carl Clark and James Kennedy who provided the fencing materials at cost price and erected it free of charge in their own time.
The school’s fundraising committee, the Lamplugh School Association, provided some play equipment for the children to use on the playground.
We would also like to thank ‘New Hall Firewood’, Dearham, for the donation of bark for our climbing frame area.
