Carlisle man seriously injured in Micklethwaite collision

[C]umbria Police are investigating a serious collision on the A596 near Micklethwaite.

The incident occurred just after midnight today, and involved a blue Ford Focus and a pedestrian.

The pedestrian – a 49-year-old Carlisle man – was taken to CIC, but has since been transferred to the Royal Victoria Infirmary in Newcastle, with serious injuries.

Police are appealing for any witnesses who may have seen either the Ford Focus or the pedestrian to contact PC2308 Khera in the Mobile Support Group on 101, quoting log number 0007 of June 7th.
