[T]he Sands Centre is excited to announce that former Eastenders star Cheryl Fergison will be spending this December in Carlisle, playing Evil Fairy ‘Carabosse’ in the region’s biggest Christmas pantomime, Sleeping Beauty.

Best known for playing the much loved, long running character of Heather Trott in Eastenders. Cheryl Fergison is a big signing for the producers, who announced earlier in the year that 911 front man, Carlisle’s own Lee Brennan would lead the cast as the Prince.

Executive Producer Jonathan Higgins said: “Cheryl is a brilliant actor, load of fun and known for giving her all to every role she undertakes. She is instantly recognizable to millions of Eastenders fans and I’m sure that she’ll be a big hit with our audience. The creative team have some great plans for this year’s show, which continues to get bigger and bigger each Christmas!”

Cheryl’s theatre credits include Man of the Moment, Measure for Measure, The Blue, Dance of Death, and topping the bill in a number of Pantomimes including Cinderella, Jack & The Beanstalk and Beauty & the Beast.

On screen, Cheryl is well known for Big School – playing opposite David Walliams, Doctor Who, Little Britain, Casualty, Allo Allo, and many more. Her film credits include White Island and Irvine Welsh’s Atlantic.

Cheryl has made Celebrity appearances on Celebrity Mastermind & Celebrity Pointless, Rich & Hungry, Your Face Sounds Familiar (first episode winner), Children In Need, The Paul O’Grady Show, and Let’s Dance for Sports Relief.

Sleeping Beauty commences on Monday 11 December with performances running until Sunday 31 December 2017. Tickets are £16.50, child £15, group (10+) £14.50, family £43 plus a booking fee* available online at thesandscentre.co.uk or from The Sands Centre Box Office on 01228 633766 or in person.
*55p per ticket in person/by phone or 7% per transaction online
