[P]olice have confirmed that a man has died following a collision in Carlisle this afternoon.
Officers were called at 1.50pm this afternoon (July 10th) to reports that a Ford Focus car had collided with a wall on Lawson Street.
The 81-year-old driver of the car was taken to the Cumberland Infirmary where he was pronounced dead. Police are supporting his family at this time.
The road is closed while investigations are carried out.
