Woman hurt in Workington street robbery

[P]olice are investigating a robbery that took place in Workington.

The offence occurred on Grasmere Avenue at approximately 1.20pm this afternoon (19th September).

The victim, a 43-year-old local woman, was approached by two men who pulled her to the floor, demanded her jewellery and threatened her.

They subsequently made off with rings, a bracelet, a watch and her bag. The victim suffered minor injuries.

The description of the suspects are:

A male, aged in his late teens/early twenties, 5ft 10 inches tall with light brown hair. He was wearing a navy Adidas tracksuit, a black woolly hat and white trainers.

A male, aged in his late teens/early twenties and approximately 5ft 10 inches tall. He was wearing a light-coloured top with dark tracksuit bottoms.

Police would like to speak to anyone with any information that can assist in identifying those responsible.
