[P]olice are investigating an assault. The incident occurred on Sunday, 8th October, at approximately 8pm, outside the Haven Club, Hensingham, Whitehaven.
The victim, a local woman in her forties, suffered no injuries as a result of the assault.
A 56 year old male, from Whitehaven, was arrested on suspicion of common assault, and has been released on bail.
