
[A] 52-year old local man remains in a critical condition following a road traffic collision on London Road in Carlisle.
Police were called at 10.35pm yesterday (6th November) following a collision between a vehicle and a pedestrian.
The male was taken to the Cumberland Infirmary and has life-threatening injuries.
A 67-year-old man from Carlisle, who was driving a silver Ford Focus, has contacted police and is helping with enquiries.
London Road was fully reopened shortly after 1.30am.
Police are appealing for any witnessed to the collision to get in touch. Also police would like to identify anyone who may have seen the casualty prior to the collision.
