[B]rooke Drummond an Alumni student from Lakes College is taking part in this year’s Miss Cumbria competition

Brooke is competing against 13 girls in this competition, she is raising money for Variety the children’s charity. Variety is a charity who raise money for disadvantaged children and disabled children, providing them with equipment for everyday life and sorting travel and accommodation for places they need to go to.

Brooke needs to raise £200 for the final on the 28th of April, where she will be on a catwalk wearing four different types of outfits: sports wear, an Eco friendly dress, a Saturday night outfit and a prom outfit. Brookes aim is to try and raise more than the £200 needed.

Brooke is also helping in the local community. She has been helping Age UK raise money at various events and also helps out with their coffee afternoon on a Thursday.

On Wednesday the 31st of January 11.30am-1.30pm Brooke is hosting a charity cake sale at Lakes College.

“Brooke Drummond Miss Cumbria 2018 Finalist” is Brookes own Facebook page where you can find further details about the competition, her fundraising and community work.

Good luck Brooke!
